- They have programs that provide short term assistance and food. Services include LIHEAP, weatherization, section 8 vouchers, applications to WIC, emergency housing, Schools for Success, financial support with rent, help with utilities. Must have tried Dakota County resources first.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Neighbors has changed its food shelf model to a drive-up system. This drive-up system includes social distancing and other precautions.
- Step 1 – Call 651-455-5000 to schedule a time to pick up your food or discuss delivery options.
- Step 2 -Speak with a specialist about your food order and any other support you may need.
- Step 3 – When you arrive at your pick up time call to let us know you’re ready for your food.
- Step 4 – For social distancing, please wait in your vehicle until your cart has been delivered.
- Step 5 – Load your groceries into your vehicle and place your cart in our cart corral. If you are in need of accommodations for your food order, please let us know.

- $25 Mega Meat Pack: Typically includes 7-9 frozen meat items. Watch for Holiday Packs in Nov and Dec.

- Market Express is a 3-4 day supply of food and may include: meat, bread, dairy, produce, and dried goods.

- Market Cart (for Seniors): Once a month provides fresh produce delivered to seniors currently participating in the Nutritional Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS), receiving Meals on Wheels through Hastings Family Service, or residing at one of the Hastings senior communities (Mississippi Terrace, Oak Ridge Manor or Rivertown Courts).
- Participants receive a manageable portion of fresh produce including items like bananas, apples, oranges, potatoes, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and other fruits or vegetables.
- Seniors can register ahead of time for a NAPS box they can pick up monthly.

WIC is a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for:
- Pregnant women
- Breastfeeding women who have had a baby within the past year
- Women who have had a baby within the past six months

- Infants to a child’s 5th birthday.
- Other services include nutritional education, counseling, referrals to health and other social services. Can use vouchers to shop for specific groceries to benefit mother’s and child’s health.

- A monthly supply of food, nutritionally designed for seniors, to enhance monthly groceries. Participants select what they need from specific food options.
- Seniors receive Bongard’s cheese, canned items (fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, beans, and lentils), bottled juice, stable and instant dry milk, pasta or rice, dry beans or peanut butter, and cereal.
- No cost and more than 200 pick-up locations statewide.
