Grow Hope – A Sustainable, Predictable Way to Support The Open Door

Mikell Melius February 28, 2023 Leave a Comment

You may have seen The Open Door’s Grow Hope Program mentioned in one of our newsletters or calls for support with a phrase such as, “I would like to join Grow Hope, the monthly giving program!”, and been asked to check a box. But you may have been hesitant because you’re not quite sure what The Open Door’s Grow Hope Program is!

Whether you know what our Grow Hope Program is, or you have a few questions about it, this month we’ll be diving into what the benefits of Grow Hope are, sharing testimonials from our current Grow Hope donors and hopefully giving you a clearer idea of what this program is and how it’s a sustainable way to support The Open Door and hunger relief in Dakota County!

“You make one decision that then makes 12 decisions for you. Grow Hope is a fabulous way to do that!”
– James
Borgschatz, Grow Hope Donor

The Grow Hope Program is a monthly giving program established to allow individuals the option of financially support The Open Door on a regular, more structured basis. Donors plan out their donations, work them into their budgets and have the benefit of being more intentional about their charitable giving. It also provides The Open Door a predictable revenue stream during times when donations decline yet the need for food support continues.

Predictable funds are a huge asset, especially for organizations like The Open Door that serve people whose lives are unpredictable and chaotic. From a lost job to an unforeseen medical bill to juggling car repairs with the climbing costs of groceries, these unpredictable, commonplace occurrences that are easy to navigate for some people, can completely upturn other people’s lives and be the thing that keeps them from purchasing healthy food.

“I like the idea of consistency. I have an idea in my mind of how much I want to give and with this approach I can make sure that happens.”
– Susan Ryan, Grow Hope Donor

The benefits of The Grow Hope Program are real for both you, the donor, The Open Door and the people we serve. Plus, as part of our Grow Hope Program, you receive special invitations to exclusive events made for donors like you!
