Next Tuesday, Aug 4 is National Night Out. Communities across the country will be getting together to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. We are fortunate to also have the opportunity for neighbors to help neighbors through food drives at their block parties.
In Lakeville, party organizers will collect food from party goers and will be donating to the local food shelves, The Open Door and 360 communities.

In Eagan National Night Out is sponsored by the Eagan Police and Fire Departments and the Eagan Citizen’s Crime Prevention Association. Each year neighbors have been bringing food donations to the party and organizers bring them to The Open Door. Last year’s total was over 3,100 lbs and $2700.
