Meet the staff of The Open Door, find their contact information and learn a little about each of them.
I’m a daughter, a wife, and a mother. I am very active in my church and lead everything from bible study to soccer camps. My husband and I love beagles. I have been walking beagles through my neighborhood for 27 years and I am known as the ‘Beagle Lady” to my neighbors.
Garden To Table Coordinator
I have a biology degree with the chemistry minor. I have worked as a botanist as well as in marketing and nonprofit management and am a yoga/Barre instructor. In my free time I like to garden, do yoga, and dance. I am a mother of 2 and I am owned by 2 cats.
I enjoy spending time with my family, helping my kids work on their homes and working in my yard & gardens. I also enjoys spending time up North at our lake property renovating my barn, refurbishing/repurposing furniture, and doing some fishing and reading.
Mobile Food Program Manager
I recently surpassed 10 years in the non-profit sector and am excited to be welcomed to The Open Door after completing my MBA in social entrepreneurship at Augsburg College. My wife, Ashlee, and I live in Oakdale with our two dogs, Bou & Sully, and in our free time, my wife and I enjoy traveling (Costa Rica & Ireland, so far), time with family, and spoiling our pups. A few personal goals for the future include becoming a decent home cook, completing a full marathon and learning to play the ukulele!
I am a graduate of St. Catherine University where I studied nutrition. As a Registered Dietician, I am an advocate for healthy food and lifestyle choices. In my free time I enjoy reading, yoga, and helping out a beautiful vineyard along the Great River Road in Pepin, Wisconsin.
Food Access & Equity Manager
I’m a transplant to the Twin Cities metro area and have recently returned from two years with the Peace Corps in Cameroon. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the cities by bike, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, and puttering in my garden.
Community Relations Manager
As a native Minneapolitan transplanted in Eagan you will find me riding my bike with my husband on the many metro area trails, walking the lakes or my neighborhood with friends, or exploring new local food restaurants and the farmers markets. When I have alone time I like to lose myself in oil painting or put on my ipod and go for a run (well, jog slightly faster than a walk!)
