Are you still open?
Since the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in our community and the announcement made by Governor Walz on 11/18, many have asked whether
The Open Door will remain open.
We will continue to provide food support for as long as it is safe to do so. Our priority is to continue providing the healthy food our community needs in the safest way possible. Extra precautions are being taken across the board and we are constantly in discussions with partners, other food shelves, and those we serve.
As we head into the winter season, we continue to need your help to remain safe and stay open:
- If you feel sick, please stay home
- Be patient with changes, and requests from one another 😊
- Wear a mask at all times and remain at least 6 feet apart from others while visiting The Open Door.
Do I still come to my appointment?
Yes, you will still go to your appointments as scheduled (unless you are sick). We have taken extra precautions to limit interpersonal interactions and the spread of germs at your appointment. Click here for what to expect at your appointment.
- If you are in a high-risk category, please consider choosing curbside shopping, or attending our contactless Large Scale Distributions held at Metcalf Elementary School in Burnsville every Tuesday from 3:00 – 6:00 pm – no appointment necessary
