Dakota County Pharmacy Discount Drug Card Program

Dakota County has teamed with several local pharmacies to offer residents the Pharmacy Discount Drug Card Program that makes prescription drugs more affordable for people without insurance coverage for medications

To use the program:

  • Free to enroll
  • Download the program brochure or pick up a copy at participating pharmacies or the Administration Center in Hastings, Western Service Center in Apple Valley and the Northern Service Center in West St. Paul, or by calling 651-554-6100
  • Present the program brochure to one of the participating pharmacies. The pharmacist will enroll you in the program and provide the discount. You may receive a card for future prescriptions

Glaxo Smith Kline Assistance Program

  • Web site designed to help people who need help paying for their GlaxoSmithKline prescription medicines
  • When you answer a few basic questions on the site, GSKForYou will guide you to a patient assistance program that may help to save you money on your out-of-pocket costs for your medicine
  • Eligibility criteria apply

Merck Patient Assistance Program

  • Private and confidential program provides medicine free of charge to eligible individuals, primarily the uninsured who can not afford needed Merck medicines
  • Individuals who don’t meet the insurance criteria may still qualify for the Merck Patient Assistance Program if they attest that they have special circumstances of financial and medical hardship, and their income meets the program criteria
