A Call to Action: Understanding the impact of cutting SNAP benefits

A panel discussion on the local impact of proposed federal cuts to SNAP benefits

Monday, Aug 28, 6:30-8:00 pm
Easter Lutheran Church by the Lake, 4545 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan

Please join us for an evening of discussion and advocacy on behalf of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as “food stamps”) and learn why we must protect this essential benefit!

The House of Representatives has proposed a budget with 20% cuts to SNAP over the next 10 years. This cut would shift much of the program to already-stressed state budgets, likely reducing the amount of benefit available to our neighbors in need.

Panelists will include representatives from:

Hunger Solutions, DHS, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, and people directly
impacted by the proposed cuts.
