Volunteer potters spent their Friday evening and Saturday morning and afternoon at the Eagan Art House creating bowls at the SECOND bowl throw for this year’s Empty Bowls event. The busy potters—fueled by coffee and a fresh white chocolate raspberry cake, (donated from Nothing Bundt Cakes)—wheeled, tooled, and created 167 beautiful bowls. Thank you Eagan artists Robin Sicoli, Heidi Van Schooten, Andrea Eisel, Amy Rhone, Jerri Gibson Neddermeyer, Paul Willie, Melissa Sturman, Anita Pagey, Becky McPeek, Barb Kampf, and Barbara Waltz for your unending energy, gift of creativity and time to help make our EB successful!
The Open Door’s 9th Annual Empty Bowls event will be held Thursday, March 8 at St. John Neumann Church in Eagan from 11:30am-2:00 pm and 4:30-7:30 pm.
Here are some ways you can participate in the event NOW:
- Planning committee: Help organize and promote the Empty Bowls event. We will meet once or twice a month starting in January.
- Bowl donors: Do you have pottery bowls you are willing to donate? Bring them to Nancy at The Open Door ‘House’, 3910 Rahn Road, Eagan.
- Bowl painters and donors: Thanks to our partners at Color Me Mine Eagan, for just $10 you can paint a bowl that will be donated to The Open Door’s Empty Bowls fundraiser. Come to the studio or plan a group paint at the place of your choice (home, church, etc)

My daughter would like to help by organizing friends to either make bowls or paint them. Can you send details on how to get involved?
